This client had a key business update to deliver to its customers, and whilst they would typically love to deliver this in-person, in the current climate this was not an option. Our solution? We brought the pub to each delegates’ home and delivered a virtual pub experience – The Stay Inn!

We had graphics designed with the clients’ branding on pub elements such as the pint glasses, the beer pumps, the dartboard and the ‘House Rules’ poster behind the bar, which were showed via screenshare. Clients were invited to join the pub via a bespoke website and e-shots were sent out with dial in details.

We opened our ‘doors’ at 4pm for a quick business update with questions, and then had a ‘Games Room’ breakout space open for people to go into for a pub quiz should they wish, or they could remain in the main pub room. The event was scheduled for one hour, but people stayed on as if they were really in the pub until the early evening!


We had bespoke branded ‘pub in a box’ packages arrive at each attendee’s home in advance of the event date. It contained two craft beers, a packet of crisps, branded beer mats and a personal note from the CEO to explain how he missed having a cold one with them in the pub, but for the meantime this one’s on us. Once the boxes started to arrive, we saw pictures of them shared all over Twitter and other social media platforms by the customers, generating a real pre-event buzz!


Thanks to you for your support – I would never have thought it could go so well virtually. Very impressed with the team – good job!! I’ll admit to being a bit sceptical beforehand as to how it was all going to work – especially considering the number of people in attendance. Lesson learnt in terms of my cynicism though and I was really impressed with how smoothly it all went - thanks largely I suspect to all the preparation beforehand and your marshalling throughout. Thank you to your team for the idea and energy behind this in the first place – big thanks for giving us the initial confidence to go forwards with an ‘e-event’.
