Marbella was the ideal destination for the sales conference, with delegates being able to fly directly to Spain from across Europe and America. The sales conference was held at Don Carlos Hotel, located along the gorgeous coastline of Costa Del Sol.
The sales conference ran from Wednesday – Friday in January. Delegates spent most of both Wednesday and Thursday in conference, located in Condes III in Don Carlos Hotel. Coffee breaks and lunches were served in the sunshine, allowing delegates to appreciate their surroundings whilst in Marbella for their conference.
On the first evening, a welcome dinner was hosted at the beach club of Don Carlos. It was a stunning evening, guest enjoyed pre-dinner drinks beach-side whilst the sunset. Delegates enjoyed a buffet-style dinner under the ‘coves’ with roaring fire stands and authentic entertainment. The client appreciated the effort put into the welcome dinner as it had been a little ‘neglected’ previously, this added value to the event.
On Thursday evening, we hosted a gala dinner at Don Carlos. The client had previously gone off-site for this gala dinner, however this year it was to be at the hotel. It was our challenge to transform Condes III (main plenary) into a grand ballroom for the gala dinner as the client wanted to feel as though they were somewhere new. Using one of the client’s stationery brands as our inspiration, we transformed the room into a colourful amazon. With material draped through the ceiling, an impressively bright stage set and delegates colour co-ordinated to their table – it was safe to say that Condes III was unrecognisable!
Another challenge we were given was to find the most ‘perfect’ entertainment for the gala dinner. The band chosen were upbeat, energetic and fun. The client warned us that it was a ‘difficult crowd’ to get dancing, however the band had all delegates dancing within their first couple of songs. It really was the perfect band!
The client was extremely thrilled by the success of this event – we are already planning next years!
